Chocolate Mousse, Boom


I discovered a chocolate mousse recipe today that blew me away in its simplicity. 

I had some time to spare/kill while waiting for Bastien to come home with dinner so I decided to give it  a try. I knew Elise would be into helping, so she got in on the fun.

I love design for mankind, how she's shifted her writing to follow and flow with her as she ages and matures and goes through different lifestyles and life changes. Her writing is now more reflective and thoughtful, reflecting her time with her daughter and the lessons involved in raising another human being.

I know I may seem a little all over the place, but this is how my train of thoughts is flowing: "oh, I just made this amazing delicious thing, I should share it with someone; oh, there's context around this recipe, let me share that; oh, and there's this great writer that I love reading and she's the one I was inspired by to make the mousse." And that's how this mind works.

And now back to the recipe: 

 Raw Chocolate Mousse 

inspired by Design for Mankind 

▪️2 1/2 avocados 

▪️2/3 c cacao

▪️raw agave nectar to taste

▪️1 frozen banana, but I bet a non-frozen one would work just fine 

▪️2-3 generous splashes of almond milk

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend away. You might need to use a spoon to mix around everything if you have a really old outdated blender and your cacao powder decides it doesn't want to play nice with the other ingredients. 

And then sit down and enjoy the simplicity and richness of life (aka this chocolate mousse, y'all). 💗
